Welcome To A Less Stressful World!

avatar.jpgWhether the buzz word for the moment is going green, being frugal, recycling or hand-me-downs, our current economy demands that we learn to save both time and money.  Most households are frantic and the organization and completion of the tasks at hand can become overwhelming at times.   As a wife, mother and grandmother, I’ve learned a few tricks along the way to make my life easier, save money and actually allow me some personal creative time.

If you asked most moms of small children, the concept of doing more than one thing at a time was second nature long before the term multitasking was coined.  Add a full or part-time job to the mix and you can lose your temper or even your sanity.  Some tasks demand immediate attention,  like changing a diaper or cleaning up a spill.  Other chores can be eased into your day without a lot of extra effort.   A little organization and simple planning will save your energy, reduce stress, save money and better your life.

Cooking, sewing, laundry and housecleaning are not just “womens work”, they are life skills.   Every family member should learn and practice these skills.  Being a good cook doesn’t require a culinary degree and sewing on a button or mending a torn seam doesn’t require a fashion degree.  Being frugal doesn’t require washing and reusing plastic sandwich bags if you don’t want to go quite that far, but if you do,  good for you.

Let’s save Time, Money and Energy!
